Contour Profile Gel Breast Implant Clinical Trial

Mentor Corporation, a leading medical device company that manufactures breast implants, is sponsoring a clinical study on a specific type of silicone gel breast implant. As compared to the standard round silicone gel breast implant, this Contour Profile Gel (CPG) implant has a different shape. You may qualify to participate if you are a woman seeking implants for breast enlargement, breast reconstruction (due to mastectomy or congenital deformity), or for replacing current implants.

The trial will involve subjects across the nation at up to 60 sites. Woman involved in the study will need to sign an informed consent, agree to return for a 10-week visit and annual visits for 10 years, and live close to an investigational site. Some subjects may be selected to receive annual MRI scans. Each visit provides monetary compensation. Only experienced, board certified plastic surgeons are participating.
