Rhinoplasty at our Metro Atlanta practice can improve the size, shape, and even function of your nose. Our patients appreciate how subtle yet effective changes can enhance their natural beauty, create facial symmetry, and give them the confidence they need to look and feel amazing!
Rhinoplasty (also called a nose job or nose reshaping surgery) is a cosmetic surgery that reshapes and refines the nose to restore symmetry to the face and improve one’s appearance. In some cases, it can even improve breathing.

Since rhinoplasty can make a variety of desired changes in the nose’s shape and size, our plastic surgeons may use several surgical techniques to help you achieve the look you want. Depending on your goals and anatomy, you may undergo one of the following types of rhinoplasty:
Closed rhinoplasty: incisions are inside the nostrils, and adjustments are made internally.
Open rhinoplasty: a small incision is made between the nostrils for greater access to the interior of the nose; typically used for more involved procedures.
Tip plasty: reserved for cases where only the tip of the nose needs correcting (to correct a bulbous, sharp, or drooping tip).
Rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure, so you can go home shortly after surgery. To ensure your comfort, a board-certified anesthesiologist will administer intravenous sedation or general anesthesia during the procedure.
Everyone there made me feel so comfortable and honestly I am so blessed I couldn’t have wished for more as this is my very first time dealing with plastic surgery! So to say the least I was super nervous to even coming to consultation! My Rhinoplasty experience couldn’t have gone better! Thank you all!
Immediately after surgery, your nose is bandaged with a splint placed around it. This can be uncomfortable but is usually removed 5 to 7 days after surgery.
Post-operative discomfort can be managed with prescription medication, which many patients only need for a few days before switching to over-the-counter alternatives.
While post-operative bruising and swelling from rhinoplasty can persist for up to 1 month, the typical time frame for returning to work or school is 10 to 14 days. Noncontact exercise can be gradually resumed beginning about 3 weeks after surgery.
How Long Will It Take To See My Rhinoplasty Results?
Results from rhinoplasty can usually be seen within 3 months of surgery, with results continuing to improve for up to 12 months. Most of the swelling that persists during this final 9-month period is usually confined to the nasal tip due to its thick skin.
