While you’ll likely notice significant results after a single SkinPen microneedling treatment, we recommend patients undergo 3-6 treatments spaced one month apart for optimal results. Since your skin will continue to improve as new collagen is produced, your peak results will likely be visible 3 to 6 months after your first treatment.
Microneedling can be described as mildly uncomfortable, but most patients report feeling only the vibrating sensation of SkinPen during the procedure. To further minimize any discomfort, your provider will apply a light numbing ointment to your skin before treatment, and OTC pain relievers may be recommended following treatment.
