Atlanta Rhinoplasty for Men
Get a nose shape that’s more your style
Does your nose shape seem like it just doesn’t match the rest of your face? You don’t have to live with a nose you’re unhappy with. Rhinoplasty can help you improve the shape of your nose, making it more symmetrical and better proportioned with your other facial features, bringing them into a more attractive balance. Nose surgery can also straighten out a bumpy or crooked nose.
At The Swan Center, our computer imaging technology can even show you how your nose might look after surgery, helping you see what improvements are possible before you commit to a surgery date.
Your rhinoplasty procedure
Rhinoplasty can help make a variety of desired changes in the nose’s shape or size, so surgical techniques vary depending on your goals and anatomy. Your surgeon may perform one of the following types of rhinoplasty for you:
- Closed rhinoplasty: adjustments are made through internal incisions in the nose
- Open rhinoplasty: used in more extensive procedures
- Tipplasty: lengthens, shortens, or changes the angle of the nasal tip
After your nose surgery
Rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure, so, with the assistance of a friend or loved one, you will be able to return home shortly after surgery. To help promote healing and protect your results, we will pack your nostrils with gauze and bandage your nose with a splint. While this can be a bit uncomfortable, you should only have to wear it for around a week.
Everyone there made me feel so comfortable and honestly I am so blessed I couldn’t have wished for more as this is my very first time dealing with plastic surgery… My Rhinoplasty experience couldn’t have gone better!

Most of our patients report that while a bit of discomfort is normal, initial pain is easily managed with prescription pain medication and, later, over-the-counter alternatives. For a day or two after surgery, you probably won’t feel like doing much, so listen to your body and take it easy. We do encourage patients to get up and walk around frequently, which helps with blood flow and can aid in your healing. Many patients are able to return to desk jobs within one to two weeks, though strenuous activity and exercise should be avoided for about a month.
Your results
After waiting for so long, it’s normal to feel anxious to see your results. It’s important to remember that you will need to give your nose a few weeks to heal and begin “shaping up” to its final form. Swelling and bruising from surgery can last for up to a month and can mask your results, so it’s important to be patient. After about three or four weeks, any swelling should have subsided and your nose will be looking great, with continual improvements over time. Expect to see subtle changes for up to a year, at which point your final results should be apparent.
